Chelsea and Manchester United will have to pay at least £50 million to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The 21-year-old was linked with the Premier League this summer. He was valued at around £34m by the Principality club.
However, his reputation has enhanced over the past few months, having made his international debut for the France national team.
Tchouameni recently excelled for Les Bleus in the Nations League final, and Monaco are likely to wait until next summer to sell him.
The club have reportedly hiked their valuation for the midfielder, and won’t accept anything less than £50m for his services (Marca).
Chelsea and United are among the Premier League clubs that are monitoring him while Juventus and Real Madrid are also keen.
There could be a big transfer tussle for his signature. Tchouameni may choose the club that assures him regular playing time.
The Bianconeri appear best placed to do so, but the price tag could be a stumbling block. They tend to prefer loan to buy options.
